Founder
Peter Schurman has been building social change organizations for more than 30 years. He served as the founding Executive Director (CEO) at MoveOn.org, led a democratic reform campaign at Free Speech For People, built the Contest Every Race program, and served as national student organizer at the Sierra Club. His depth of experience leveraging email lists (MoveOn) and mass text messaging (Contest Every Race) have prepared him well to lead the organization we’re creating here. He holds an MBA in nonprofit management from Yale and a BA in diplomatic history from the University of Pennsylvania.
The One Global Democracy project addresses the biggest unmet need and opportunity he sees in the world today. It represents his deepest passion and most personal purpose.
